New Safety Guide and revamped Workplace Resources Guide for trans journalists

The TJA's updated and expanded Workplace Resources Guide offers new tools for safety and security. There are tools for independent journalists, newsroom staffers, and journalism leaders.

Safety and security will be top-of-mind for many of us heading into 2025, and now is the perfect time for journalists and news leaders to take stock of existing newsroom policies and form some good habits.

The incoming Trump administration will bring uncertainties — for all media workers, including especially for those of us who are personally touched by anti-trans policies, laws, or rhetoric. In the middle of hectic breaking news events and industry turmoil, it's important to keep ourselves — and each other — safe.
